Ensopits els déus de l’últim àpat,
embotits pel vi de missa
i la llarga migdiada,
avorrits de jugar a cartes,
el joc deriva en baralla
metafísica,
i tot d’una passen a les mans.
Al camp de batalla
del món, tant se val,
al bell planeta blau i verd,
cadascun d’ells mou els peons
amb especial gràcia divina.
El qui més en perd
perd la partida.
