Fa calor. Ahir a la tarda també feia calor. Que què feia jo doncs ahir a la tarda caminant amunt i avall? Doncs buscava unes xancletes de platja per regalar. No vaig pensar mai que això seria una empresa tant difícil. Vaig visitar, pel cap baix, cinc sabateries: res!! En una no tenien el seu número, en l’altra no tenien calçat pel gènere masculí, en una altra totes eren "de les de dit", que tan de moda estan… (i tan incòmodes com són!), en una altra encara no en tenien…(que potser les tindran pel setembre?). En fi, que vaig acabar comprant-les en una botiga d’esports. Quan vaig a la platja (i sobretot a la piscina) veig que els homes porten xancletes…A tots els costa tant, de trobar-les??

It’s hot. Yesterday afternoon it was hot as well. Then what was I doing yesterday afternoon walking back and forth? Well, I was looking for a couple of beach sandals to buy as a present. I never thought this would be so dificult a job!! I went to, at least, five shoe shops: nothing!! In one shop they didn’t have the right number, in another one they didn’t have anything for men, in another one all of them had that annoying tire between the big toe and the other toes (as uncomfortable as they are!) in yet another one they didn’t have any yet (maybe they will have them by september?). At last, I bought them in a sports shop. When I go to the beach (and, above all, when I go to the swimming pool), I see that men are wearing beach sandals….Is it that dificult, for all these men, to find them??

Avuí mateix, llegeixo en un d’aquests diaris gratuits que, a l’Irac, una mare fa tres anys que està esperant que el seu fill de catorze anys (!) surti de la presó. Acte seguit giro pàgina en el mateix diari, i em trobo que un dels acusats pel frau filatèlic ja està en llibertat. Com he dit abans, el món està del revés…tsk…

Just today, I read in one of these free newspapers that, in Irak, a mother has been waiting for three years for her fourteen-year-old child (!) to get out of jail. Right afterwards I turn the page in the same newspaper and I find that one of the accused for the philatelic fraude has been set free yet. As I said before, the world is upside down…tsk…

Dissabte al vespre em trobava a Blanes i vam decidir anar als cinemes Lauren-Costa Brava amb uns amics. Vam optar per anar a veure Tirant lo Blanc. La pel.lícula només s’oferia en llengua castellana, així que no vam tenir més remei que veure-la en la llengua de Cervantes. Però la meva sorpresa va ser majúscula quan vaig llegir en els títols de crèdit que aquesta pel.lícula està co-produïda per la Generalitat i per Televisió de Catalunya!! I només se n’ofereixen 10 còpies en català!! Em sembla vergonyós haver de veure un clàssic de la literatura catalana en una altra llengua. Després hi haurà qui es queixarà dels mals resultats del cinema doblat al català, però és que no ens donen la capacitat d’escollir. O la veus en castellà, o no la veus. Com he dit abans, una vergonya.

On Saturday night I was in Blanes and we decided to go to Lauren-Costa Brava cinemas with some friends. We decided to watch "Tirant lo Blanc" The movie was offered only in the Spanish language, so we had no choice but to watch it in the language of Cervantes. But my surprise was enourmous when I read in the credits that this movie was being coproduced by the Catalan government and Television of Catalonia!! And only 10 copies are being offered in Catalan!! I think it’s a shame that we have to watch a classic of Catalan literature in another language. And then some people will complain about the bad results achieved by cinema dubbed to Catalan, but we are not given the chance to choose. Either you see it in Spanish, or you don’t see it at all. As I said before, it’s a shame.

S’acaba el ‘xollo’…Vull dir, que ja m’han donat d’alta i que el dijous torno a treballar….El peu encara està així així, però vaig tirant…Serà dur això de llevar-se cada dia jeje…

I’m going back to work on Thursday…My foot is still doing so so, but I’m doing fine more or less….It’s going to be hard getting up everyday hehe…

L’altre dia, un dels meus sims va ser abduït per alienígenes!!!!! Per fi!!!!!!!!!!! I el tio es va quedar prenyat!! I ara té una preciosa nena de pell verda i ulls negres!!!!!!

The other day, one of my sims was abducted by aliens!!!!! At last!!!! And the guy got pregnant!! And now he has a beautiful baby girl with green skin and black eyes!!!!!!

P:S: It’s snowing!!!

No hi ha dret, sembla que neva a tot arreu menys aquí (Sabadell)!! L’any passat va passar el mateix, i fins i tot va nevar a cotes més baixes!! Si fins i tot va nevar a Cerdanyola!!

It’s not fair, it seems it snows everywhere but here (Sabadell)!! Last year it was the same, it even snowed in lower heights above sea level!! It even snowed in Cerdanyola!!

Doncs això, que vaig caure i em vaig trencar la tíbia i el peroné, i vaig haver de passar pel quiròfan…Ara ja sóc a casa, però la rehabilitació serà llarga…Dos segons per fer-t’ho i mig any per recuperar-t’en!!

I fell down and broke both tibia and fibula, and had to go through surgery. I’m at home now yet, but the recovery process is going to be long…It only takes two seconds to happen, but it takes half a year to heal!!

És una pena que s’hagi de limitar l’ús de l’aeroport per culpa de les pressions inmobiliàries. En primer lloc, de qui va ser l’idea de construir vivendes tant a prop d’un aeroport, encara que sigui un d’helicòpters i avions petits com el de Sabadell? Aquest aeroport és aquí des de fa més de 80 anys, senyors, i les persones que en els últims anys han comprat pisos al seu rodal ja coneixien la seva existència, i per tant haurien de saber a que atenir-se. De fet, és molt probable que deguin el fet d’haver-los pogut comprar, a la presència del mencionat aeroport, ja que d’altra manera els hauria sortit molt més car…I ara es queixen?? En fi, sembla que ara els ajuntaments i el govern han arribat a alguna mena d’acord, però aquest acord sembla que a la pràctica limitaria l’aeroport només als serveis d’emergències, i per tant el privaria de l’escola de vol, que és l’única de Catalunya. Una pena. I una pena evitable.

It’s a pity that they have to limit the usage of the airport due to real estate presures. In the first place, whose idea was it to build residencial areas so close to an airport, even if it is only for helicopters and small planes, as is the case for Sabadell’s airport? This airport has been here for more than 80 years, ladies and gentleman, and the people that, in the last few years, have bought flats in its whereabouts already knew of its existence, and so they should know what to expect. In fact, it’s quite possible that the reason why they were able to buy them in the first place was because they were so close to the airport, as otherwise they would have been much more expensive… And now they argue about it?? Well, it looks like now the town halls and the government have reached some sort of agreement but, in practise, it seems that this agreement would limit the airport to be used only by the emergency services, and so it would deprive it of the pilots school, which is the only one in Catalonia. A pity. And an avoidable pity.

Ahir vaig tornar a jugar als Sims 2…Altre cop bessons!!! Com si una nena sola no costés prou de pujar, apa, dues nenes!!!
(és un joc d’ordinador, que ningú es confongui…).

Yesterday I played The Sims 2 once again….Twins again!!! As if one girl wasn’t hard enough to bring up, darn, two girls!!! (it’s a computer game, I hope I don’t confuse anyone…).

Ah, una mica de tranquilitat….Si, a partir de demà tindré una mica de tranquilitat. Els pares marxen uns dies…Jo he tingut uns dies de vacances de la feina, però de tranquilitat, res!! "Hogar, dulce hogar"….Ja!!

Ah, some tranquility…Yes, tomorrow and on I’m going to have a bit of tranquility. My parents are going away for a few days…I’ve had a few days off work, but no tranquility!! "Home, sweet home"…Ha!!

This is my first blog…and I’m a newbie!!

Abans que res, haig d’avisar que fa temps que estic molt enganxada a el joc d’ordinador Els Sims, i ara a els Sims 2. Per tant, és probable que en parli bastant…

Before anything else, I have to say that for a long time I’ve been very hooked on the computer game The Sims, and now on The Sims 2. So, most probably I’m going to talk about it a lot…Sabreu més de mi en futures entrades!
