Santiago Espot: “És essencial que Barcelona exerceixi com a capital de Catalunya i d’Estat”

Aquest vespre Solidaritat Catalana per la Independència ha presentat
públicament el seu candidat a l’alcaldia de Barcelona, Santiago Espot, i
els quatre primers candidats de la llista: Blandine Giraud, Agustí
Soler, Carmentxu López i Josep Maria Vaqué.
Santiago Espot ha reconegut que la seva carrera política “és un
combat desigual però podem vèncer”. L’alcaldable ha remarcat que
Barcelona “és l’aparador de Catalunya” per això s’ha de potenciar la
seva projecció i aprofitar el seu gran potencial. També ha dit que
“Barcelona ha donat de si tot el que podia donar com a segona ciutat
espanyola”, per tant, per a resoldre els problemes de fons dels
barcelonins “és essencial que Barcelona exerceixi de capital de
Catalunya i d’Estat”. Uriel Bertran ha dit d’Espot que havia de ser el
candidat perquè el van votar tots els adherits i perquè va participar en
el procés de consultes “on es van forjar els lideratges polítics dels
propers anys”.
Blandine Giraud, francesa de naixement i catalana de cor, porta vuit
anys vivint a Barcelona, va venir per un any a estudiar i s’ha quedat
captivada per “una ciutat que ha sabut cuidar la seva essència”. Ha
confessat que no havia considerat mai implicar-se tant en política però
que en aquest cas ho fet empesa “per la injustícia que pateix l’estat
català”. Giraud ha criticat que el model municipalista espanyol no
funciona perquè dona poc marge als municipis, una qüestió que, segons ha
dit, “no es veu a altres llocs d’Europa”. Per això ha dit que “colze a
colze catalans de naixement i catalans d’adopció ho aconseguirem”.
Agustí Soler ha expressat que pretén posar l’experiència de quatre
anys com a regidor a la ciutat al servei de SI. “El sistema de govern a
la ciutat de Barcelona és un desastre (…) la ciutat s’està construint
amb els peus”. I ha posat com a alternativa a aquest sistema de govern
Solidaritat Catalana per la Independència que “tot s’ho mira en
positiu”.
“Em vaig adherir a SI per intuïció i crec que no m’he
equivocat”. Carmentxu López mai abans havia militat en un partit polític
però s’ha decidit perquè “cal superar el síndrome d’Estocolm que pateix
el nostre país després de 300 anys de pèrdua de llibertat”. López, s’ha
referit als dos diputats presents a l’acte dient-los que “si en 4 mesos
vàreu aconseguir quatre diputats entre tots aconseguirem el cinc per
cent per entrar a la ciutat de Barcelona”.
Josep Maria Vaqué ha explicat que tota la seva vida professional s’ha
dedicat a la música, però el privilegi és que darrera d’aquesta música
hi ha un missatge: “el meu país, la meva nació”. Per això ha dit que “si
visqués en un altre país segurament no em dedicaria a la música perquè
no tindria sentit”.
