El
promotor de la xiulada a Mestalla, Santiago Espot, afrima en la segona
part de l’entrevista amb e-notícies que “quan parlem de Catalunya
parlem de Salses a Guardamar i de Fraga a Maó” en al·lusió als
anomenats Països Catalans. “És molt senzill, diga-li Catalunya”,
insisteix tot recordant un llibre del valencià Josep Guia “malgrat que
a la ciutat de València sigui una ciutat governada pel PP”.
Espot, president
de Catalunya Acció, considera que “hi ha campanyes adreçades a separar
la nació: els catalans del principat dels valencians”, però que “la
nació és molt clara”. També assegura que “l’independentisme cada vegada
és més popular” i que, en el cas d’un referèndum, “la victòria serà
dels partidaris del sí”. Pel que fa a Ciutadans, afirma que “ja no és
un partit, és una tanda de penals perquè queden quatre i el cabo”.

“Espanya fa figa”
E-noticies.com entrevista SANTIAGO ESPOT, president de Catalunya Acció.
El president de Catalunya Acció, Santiago Espot, que ha estat un dels
impulsors de la xiulada contra l’himne espanyola durant la Copa del
Rei, ha afirmat en la primera part d’una entrevista amb e-notícies
després dels esdeveniments que ell “no és el dolent de la pel·lícula,
sinó el bo”. “El que pensin a Madrid no m’importa”, ha afegit.
Espot considera que la xiulada ha servit per a “infondre als catalans
una moral de victòria ampla i suficient com per a endegar un procés de
secessió”. “El que va passar a Mestalla va ser un èxit del qual ens hem
de congratular tots els catalans”, ha indicat.
En la seva opinió, “l’Estat espanyol és una entitat política molt i
molt feble” malgrat els seus “cinc-cents anys d’història”, com demostra
que la protesta hagi provocat “un terratrèmol polític”. Santiago Espot
assegura, d’altra banda, que “els seus fonaments van fent figa”, i
augura que, “amb un parell de xiulades més, l’Estat espanyol està
finiquitat”.
El dirigent independentista també considera que el Govern espanyol mai
enviaria els tancs “al carrer” en cas d’independència, perquè “és
absolutament inviable”. “L’Exèrcit que tenen els espanyols està
integrat bàsicament per gent de Sud-amèrica, i aquesta gent tampoc
estaria disposada a defensar la unitat de la pàtria”, insisteix.
Respecte a les reaccions a la resta de l’Estat, afirma que “em preocupa
poc”, perquè “la imatge dels catalans a Espanya tradicionalment sempre
ha estat la imatge de gent garrepa, el jueu de la península ibèrica, i
que parla català per una mena de malaltia mental”.
“Castella, que és l’ànima d’Espanya, és una mentalitat que no tolera la
diferència”, afegeix. Espot considera que “la imatge d’una xiulada no
canviarà la nostra imatge, ni la millorarà ni la empitjorarà”, acaba.
