David Lynch i Laura Dern, per Inland Empire, han rebut un Premi Honorífic, una distinció especial dels Independent Spirits Awards.
Com s’havia anunciat, avui s’han fet públiques les nominacions als ISA (Independent Spirit Awards); és a dir, allò que en solem dir “els Òscar del Cinema Independent Nord-Americà”. Com sempre sol passar, tan sols alguns títols els identifiquem clarament, perquè ja s’han estrenat a casa nostra -cas de Little Miss Sunshine, El laberinto del fauno/ Pan’s Labyrinth, The road to Guantanamo– o perquè s’han passejat per festivals -cas de Indigènes / Days of Glory i de A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints ; alguns cineastes ens resulten ben coneguts -Robert Altman, Steven Soderbergh-, i en el capítol dels actors i les actrius, rostres prou famosos: Aaron Eckhart, per Thank You For Smoking; Edward Norton, per The Painted Veil; Robin Wright Penn, per Sorry, Haters; Marcia Gay Harden, per American Gun; la gran Frances McDormand, per Friends With Money; Daniel Craig, el 007, però pel seu paper al nou film sobre Capote, Infamous; Alan Arkin, per Little Miss Sunshine. I, entre altres nominacions que ara com ara puguem saber de què van: el guió de L’il·lusionista, els productors de Shortbus -la nova de James cameron Mitchell-, la candidatura de Quinceañera al Premi John Cassavettes.

Se sap alguna cosa de la darrera pel·lícula de David Lynch? Sembla que el director nordamericà té problemes amb els productors, que li volen retallar el metratge. Com està el tema? Se sap quan s’estrenarà al nostre país?
