Antoni Nadal, l’home del temps estimat

Tu no ho sabies, potser ho intuïes. T’estimàvem molts, eres un gran mestre, eres una persona amiga. Amb el anys havies canviat, més prim, ara amb ulleres, ara sense, però sempre eres tu, amb el somriure franc, els ulls riallers, el deix de la parla apresa de petit, aquell gest indestriable de tendra timidesa i la passió per Catalunya.

Si no haguéssim estat enamorats d’antuvi del nostre país, tu ens hi hagueres convertit : poser creies que ens feies veure el paisatge, els pobles, els rius…no, no era així, feies que ho visquéssim, que ho toquéssim, que ho paladegéssim, que ho compartíssim.
Pastaves el fang, la massa del pa per a nosaltres, feies gran el que créiem petit, íntim el que era gran.

Des de l’helicòpter ens descrivies la muntanya, verda, blanca, imponent, càlida, ondulant i feréstega; el teu amor per ella era tan natural com estimar allò més preuat.

És dur i no hi ha enrera possible. La mort anà a trobar-te al lloc màgic català, la muntanya amiga ha volgut retenir-te per sempre o donar-te consol en el teu adéu.
