La ponent sobre ‘Feminicidis’ del Consell d’Europa, Ruth Vermot-Mangold, m’ha convidat a participar avui en una jornada/audiència sobre els feminicidis que té lloc a Paris, a la seu del Consell d’Europa (Av. Kléber 55). Hi vaig en tant que ponent del Parlament Europeu sobre la qüestió i tenint en compte que dimarts vinent votarem en la Comissió sobre Igualtat d’Oportunitats i Drets de la Dona (FEMM) l’informe que fa temps estem treballant (veure evolució del mateix a la categoria Feminicidis). No cal dir que les pressions per condicionar el contingut de l’informe segueixen essent nombroses i importants (ahir mateix vàrem tenir una reunió amb les diputades d’altres grups per mirar de trobar compromisos a les més de 100 esmenes que van presentar a l’informe i avançar cap a un redactat que compti amb la majoria favorable en la votació de dimarts), i estic segur que no s’aturaran aqui, la qual cosa posa de manifest la sensibilitat, i per tant l’oportunitat, de tractar l’assumpte. Tanmateix, també segueixen arribant-me nombroses cartes de suport i peticions a que l’informe surti i permeti seguir avançant en la lluita contra els feminicidis. En això estem. (segueix…)
