Vinyes verdes vora el mar. La Marenda.
La cançò més famosa, adaptant poemes de Sagarra, sembla ser aquesta de Llach, però hi ha un disc de Toni Subirana, on totes les cançons són basades en els poemes de l’escriptor. A mi m’agraden més les de “Cançons de remo i vela”.
Un altra versió: Txell Sust
Now that the wind doesn’t blow,
You turn into greener leaves
Green vines near the sea.
Green vines of the coast,
You’re more delicate than the alfalfa
Green near the blue sailor
Vines with unripe fruit
Green vines of the coast.
Green vines, sweet pause,
Near the sailboat that passes
To the sea you bend down your body
Without coming too close
Green vines, sweet rest.
Green vines, loneliness.
From the green sunniest time of day
Grape and cut off vine-stocks
Upon the shining floor;
Green vines, loneliness.
Vines that are saying goodbye
To the boat and the gull,
And finally, a little of snow
That now borns, and after dies….
Vines that are saying goodbye!
Green vines of my heart…
Inside the vine, the afternoon sleeps,
Black grapes, golden leaves,
Water, cliff and fear.
Green vines of my heart…
Green vines near the sea,
Green since the day starts,
Green smooth at the evening….
Be always with us,
Green vines near the sea!
