BALANCES OKTOBERFEST

This is the photo of the Ergg Chebi, one of the “doors” to entry Sahara Desert. I took the photo in the summer of 2006 when I was in holiday in Africa.

The Ergg Chebi Desert is in Morocco, in all day journey from Marrakech. It was a very hard journey in a little bus; one of the most tiring journeys of my life. It seemed that it would never finish.

I like this photo because it reminds me of how magic the desert is. It seems that there isn’t anything but when you were there, you discovered a new world.

Especially I remember that I couldn’t climb the dune; at the photo it seems that it’s a normal hill, but in reality it’s very high and it’s difficult to climb.

The thing that was the most amazing and spectacular was sleeping under the desert sky. I’ll never forget it. I saw a lot of shooting stars moving through the sky. I remember that there are a lot of stars, the sky was very, very big and it looked tridimensional, like in 3D. I’m not sure if that night I could sleep. It was incredible.

On the one hand, we have Ciudadanos- Partido de la Ciudadanía, whose aim is the annihilation of the Catalan language. They lie to citizens and the rest of public opinion demanding bilingualism when, in fact, what they ultimately seek is unilingualism.

On the other hand, there’s the Partido Popular de Catalunya, whose aim is to impose the Spanish language in Catalonia degrading Catalan to the status of local dialect, being that the main reason why they systematically veto its officialdom in the European Union.
