Lisa Germano és una cantautora nord-americana amb molt terreny recorregut, ha publicat molts discos, el primer l’any 1991, i ha col·laborat amb un bon grapat d’artistes reconeguts. La seva és una veu melancòlica i desesperançada que parla de les coses de la vida, les més fosques (d’aquelles coses i aquells llocs on hi ha ombres i dubtes), i quan ho diu sembla que t’ho digui a cau d’orella.

Dius, “bé, això ja ho he escoltat molts cops”. Però ella ho diu i sembla que encara tingui les ferides obertes. Desprén sinceritat i angoixa vital, no t’ho diu per dir, t’ho explica, t’ho expressa, ho sent. La Lisa Germano, si és alguna cosa, és sincera.

Una curiositat: en el disc “Geek The Girl” hi ha una cançó, “.. A Psychopath“, en la que tota l’estona s’escolta de fons una trucada telefònica real a un telèfon d’urgències d’Estats Units en que una dona totalment terroritzada explica com un desconegut a entrat a casa seva en plena nit. Després d’escoltar-la el cos no se’t queda igual.
