La fi de Convergència, tal i com la coneixem.
partit d’Europa que fa campanyes electorals basades en el nacionalisme, en
l’afirmació nacional, tant per explicar quin és el projecte col.lectiu que
s’ofereix com per amagar els interessos que s’amaguen darrera les seves
propostes polítiques. Si seguiu les eleccions diverses que es fan pel continent veureu que gairebé tots
els partits que aspiren a guanyar, ja es diguin conservadors o socialdemòcrates, utilitzen el nom del país en el seus
lemes, no estalvien banderes en cap dels seus actes públics i apel.len,
constantment, al nosaltres nacional. En
el què sí que s’ha quedat més sola CiU és en la utilització del terme
nacionalisme, una expressió que a Europa ja només manté la ultra-dreta però que
aquí encara té una significació de construció nacional, com en el segle XIX, i
d’alliberament, com en els processos de descolonització; circumstància que
s’explica, evidentment, per la incompleta evolució del projecte nacional
català. Però Convergència no només ha basat el seu discurs en la nació, en el
fer país, sinó que ho ha combinat amb la implicació directe en un altre
projecte nacional, l’espanyol, per qui pretenien un estat més o menys modern i
integrat a Occident. Aquesta esquizofrènia, la de ser alhora Bismark a Espanya
i Bolivar a Catalunya, ja la va intentar en Cambó però és a Jordi Pujol a qui
millor li ha anat gràcies a la seva habilitat i carisma i, sobretot, a què
sortint del franquisme gairebé tot estava per fer. Qualsevol nova competència o
iniciativa que prenia el govern de la Generalitat era un pas endavant en
relació al desert d’on proveníem i, alhora, modernitzar l’Espanya autàrquica i
casposa del moment tampoc era tant difícil. Es tractava de vendre
responsabilitat, per poder influir a Madrid, i practicar l’estratègia del peix
al cove, per aconseguir eixamplar l’autonomia sense qüestionar la subordinació
prevista en la Constitució del 78.
Però tot això ja és història.
L’autonomisme ha arribat al seu límit i les comeptències que ara caldria
assolir són les que afecten al moll de l’os de l’estat, tant en el terreny
simbòlic, com econòmic o de representació internacional.
L’ambigüitat calculada del
projecte convergent, que, com les bicis,
s’aguantava mentre anava endavant, ha arribat al límit de les seves
possibilitats. Si a la tardor guanyen les eleccions al parlament hauran de decidir-se i optar per un
dels dos únics plantejaments que hi ha actualment sobre la taula: o ser una
simple regió del regne d’Espanya o un nou Estat independent amb totes les
conseqüències. Una cruïlla, la que ara se’ls planteja, de la que difícilment en
sortiran sencers.

No tinc cap dubte de l´exit de CIU a les properes eleccions a Catalunya, cada cop es veu mes clar que qui mana en el PSC viu a Madrid i aixo els fara perdre molts vots, ERC ja fa temps que no es una alternativa creible per camviar les coses aixi dons l´unic partit que crea una mica d´il.lusio per camviar el govern i aumentar el catalanisme es CIU.
