The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most-seen programs in the whole Europe, and so it is important that this contest do not take place in a country that constantly violates human rights, which have been so hard to get in many countries. It is said that the new stadyum that is hosting the contest has been built by german enterprises. So: is anyone facing Merkel’s priorities? Glad to see that you, Raül, absolutly do.

Romeva on Azerbaidjan, Eurovision and Human Rights (EP, 24.05.12)
That’s what I said yesterday, in the European Parliament, on the Eurovision contest in Azerbaidjan, in regard of the situation of the Human Rights.
Això és el que vaig dir ahir, al Parlament Europeu, en relació al Festival d’Eurovisió d’Azerbaidjan, tenint en compte la situació dels drets humans que hi ha allà.
