This blog is just reflecting my real life, after one year between UK and Beijing. This short text is the result of a challenging assignment, you can find on it a useful approach to understand current environmental problems. Hardin’s tragedy shows that users of a common pool resource (CPR), could deplete a natural renewable resource like a meadow.1 It is possible to add that this can happen easily when there are not social relationships among users. But instead of a tragedy, social relationships and scarcity can reinforce a comedy of successful collective action. When human values like equity, proportionality, transparency, reciprocity are applied to the management of natural resources by a collaborative group of humans in a uniform, regular and autonomous way could appear trust. This can make the system durable, and the trust could be institutionalized.2 But I want to show how a comedy situation in a water CPR can became a tragedy under exogenous pressures in a context of hardly interdependent and global relationships among humans, with an increasing cultural and economic global integration.
